Salman Khan’s action thriller ‘Kick’ continue its successful voyage of shattering box office records. To date, it collected hearty Rs 229cr net. With this, it also exceeds domestic lifetime business of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’ which stands at Rs 226.70cr.
Yet again, Salman Khan’s movie was declared Blockbuster status with Kick also. Salman Khan will be quite pleased after shattering box office business of SRK’s Chennai Express. Kick also emerges as Salman Khan’s highest grossing film internationally. Kick already earned Rs 70 cr plus in international market becoming Salman Khan’s highest grosser there. Kick also surfaced as one of the highest grossing Bollywood movie in Pakistan with net collections of Rs 9.5cr (PKR 15cr) in Pakistan.
It took just 5 days for Kick to enter elite 100 crore club after its release. Salman Khan now become the 1st ever Bollywood actor to have seven Rs 100 cr movies to his credit. The other six were Jai Ho, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Dabangg, Bodyguard and Ready.
Kick could become the second highest Bollywood grosser of all time. Though it looks difficult to beat Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 collections (Dhoom 3 holds the record for the highest worldwide gross collection), however Kick will surely leapfrog Hrithik Roshan’s Krissh 3 to attain number 2 spot at the box office.
Salman Khan’s latest film Kick was released on July 25, also starring co-star Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Kick is directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Kick became the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2014 so far. It aided Salman Khan to break many box office records.
