Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter / Festive kicked off with glitz and glamour. The show is jointly organized by Lakmé cosmetics brand and IMG Reliance.
Anju Modi steals the show by showcasing fabulous and coveted dresses. Smoky eyes, nude lips and elusive jewellery were the central-point of Auju’s collection. Jacqueline Fernandez was the showstopper of Anju Modi in the show. Anju Modi acclaimed many awards for her costumes that she designed for film ‘Ram Leela’ by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Like previous years, Gen Next show unveiled talented designers like Anuj Bhutani, Arunima Majhi, Kristy De Cunha, Neha Agarwal and Surbhi Shekhar. They unleashed beautiful, creative and innovative collections which was based on new and trendy concepts.
The night at Lakme Fashion Week is dazzled by the beautiful looks of Sushmita Sen and Shilpa Shetty. Sushmita and Shilpa were the showstoppers of Amit Aggarwal and Masaba Gupta respectively. Both used the right ingredients which leave lasting impressions on the audience. Other designers like Nitin Chawla, Ujjawal Dubey, Archana Rao, Yogesh Chaudhary and karishma Shahni Khan also showed off their beautiful collection.
Pakistani designers like Sania Maskatiya, Zara Shahjahan and Rizwan Beyg showcased trendy and coveted crafty creations. Rizwan Beyg offered a fashion statement of Pakistan by using mix of designs and colors which he presented in variety of garments like tops, jackets, skirts and accessories. His collection incorporated the soft and romantic feel that will appeal to any trendy dressers who aim for artistically designed outfits. He also claims of celebrities like Jemima Khan and the Lady Diana (late). Sania Maskatiya who also is shortlisted for the 2014 Woolmark Award, showcased his Sakura collection. She used motives and hand crafted embellishments which recreated Japanese flavour and culture. Amazing fit between stylishness, aesthetics and comfort is the fashion statement of Sania Maskatiya. ‘The City of Gardens’ by Zara Shahjahan creates flattering waves in the Lakme Fashion Week. Her designing skills were fully evident and her fashion wardrobe includes printed, maxi skirt with lace cover, kurta, gharara and waistcoat were elegant in appearance.
