Hollywood Box Office Forecast for December

All the major Hollywood movies will run through Christmas, kicking off from next week. The next six weeks will see definite blockbusters including the penultimate of Hunger Games named Mockingjay Part 1. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb among others. Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar is recently released and occupied number 1 spot at the box office with Big Hero 6 at number 2. It is to be believed that the next month and a half will see interesting battles between diversified genres of films leaving enough choice for the audience. Lionsgate action / adventure film The Hunger Games: Mokingjay Part 1 stars Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence slated to release on November 21, 2014. The film is predicted to be one of the highest grossing films of 2014. The first two instalments of the franchise dominated the box office.

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will conclude The Hobbit trilogy on a high note as the final part of the series is believed to do much better than the first two instalments, however, it will see competitive titles releasing in the second fortnight of December.

Meryl Streep starrer ‘Into the Woods’ will release on December 25 alongside Seth Rogan comedy ‘The Interview’.  Both the movies are projected to do well at the domestic box office. Elsewhere, we will see interesting battles between ‘Horrible bosses 2 ‘and animated 3D featured film ‘Penguins of Madagascar’ on 25th November, 2014.
