The Oscars or Annual Academy Awards is an American awards ceremony honouring achievements in the film industry. So far, Titanic, Ben Hur and Lord of the Rings share the best results at the Oscars. This year, Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel leads Oscar films with 9 nominations apiece. Both are nominated for Best Director and Best Picture. The Imitation Game, Boyhood and American Sniper also occupied several nominated slots. The hangover star Bradley Cooper is nominated as best actor in American Sniper.
